Team Spirit Awards Program


The Oneida Indian Nation is proud to offer a comprehensive recognition system that provides incentives at multiple levels for employees to give and receive acknowledgement for their achievements. The program consists of the following levels:


Gold Spirit Award

Get recognized for participating in our Employee Cost Savings Idea Program. Employee may submit cost savings and/or revenue generation ideas to Human Resources and if approved by our Executive Team to receive a cash award.

Share your idea for an enhancement to an existing product/service as part of our Service Enhancement Award. If approved, you are eligible for a cash prize based on the overall impact, value and practicality of the idea.


Silver Spirit Award

Employees can earn and receive a Silver Spirit Award from their Manager and Supervisor for performance that is above and beyond the call of duty. Employees at this level will receive a Certificate of Appreciation and a Team Spirit logo gift item located in your Human Resources office.


Bronze Spirit Award

Employees can recognize each other with Team Spirit Thank You cards. Cards are located right outside of the employee cafeteria.


Platinum CEO Award

For those employees who demonstrate performance that is exceptionally above and beyond the call of duty and which impacts all Oneida Indian Nation enterprises you be honored with the prestigious CEO Award.

Team Award

The Team Award honors a team of employees who have completed a special project or unique assignment that required extra hours or efforts outside of their normal job description. Nominations are submitted to the Workplace Programs Manager by the department head and/or project manager. Approved Team Award recipients will receive a customized award including items such as Team Award Certificate, Resort/SavOn gift card valued up to $25 and a celebration party for the team (Pizza, Hors d’ Oeuvre, or Dessert).

Team Award Guidelines
  • For performance that is above and beyond the call of duty. Similar to a Silver Spirit Award but is awarded to a team instead of an individual.
  • For completion of a special project or unique assignment that required extra hours, efforts outside of normal job description.
  • The Team Award cannot be given for a normally reoccurring event/project except during the inauguration year. (Fire Chiefs, PGA)
  • Nomination is submitted by Department Head and/or Project Manager, via e-mail or memo to Workplace Programs Manager, outlining reason for Team.
  • Managers must provide a list of team members and their contribution to the project.

The team will be recognized as follows:

  • Team Award Certificate for all members of the team.
  • A celebration party for the team. The celebration party will consist of management’s choice of one of the following: Pizza Party or Hors d’ Oeuvre Party or Dessert Ice Cream Party.
  • Based on award level, members of the team may also receive a gift card for the Resort or SavOn up to a maximum of $25.
